Photograph of a head and shoulders portrait of Louise, Duchess of Manchester. She faces three-quarters left, looking down towards the ground. She wears a pearl necklace and a garland of flowers as a headdress. She also appears to be wearing a dark coloured gown with a flower at her bust, however the photograph has been painted with dark coloured paint over the top of the dress. The photograph is adhered to a page in an album. On the page around the photograph there is a drawing of flowers and branches on a wall. Some flowers have been layered over the edges of the photograph and a branch has been painted across the top left hand corner of the photograph. The Duchess of Manchester was the Mistress of the Robes to Queen Victoria between 1858 and 1859.
