Blind stamp on mount below image: "Koch & Wilz Impasse Guemenee 8 Paris". Koch and Wilz invented a camera that took a panoramic image on a single negative. This is a significant view of the Hotel de Ville since the spire was different until 1865 and in 1871 the building was burned during the Paris Commune and replaced with a different building.
