UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
 
BURT H. SLUSSER AND LORENZO PEARSON, OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
 
DESIGN FOR PICTURE-FRAME.
 
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,609, dated April 22, 1873; application filed March 17, 1873.
 
To all whom it may concern:
 
Be it known that we, BURT H. SLUSSER and LORENZO PEARSON, of South Bend, St. Joseph county and State of Indiana, have invented a Design for a Photograph-Frame, of which the following is a specification:
 
The nature of our design is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration, to which reference is made.
 
a a a a represent the outside frame-work or bars grooved and projecting at the corners. b b b b represent wood ornaments attached at the corners of said frame. c c c c represent wood ornaments attached on the outside of the bars of said frame. d d d d d d d d d represent the outside and cross-bars of a frame set within the above-described frame, said bars being grooved in the same manner as the bars of the outside frame. The white spots or dots at the corners of the outside and corners of the inside frame and at ends and crossings of the bars of the inside frame represent ivory-headed nails or tacks.
 
What we claim as our invention is -
 
The design for a frame having white spots or dots at the corners of the squares, as shown, and the ornamentations b c, substantially as above described.
