Suspicion (1941)
Director: Alfred Hitchcock
Written by Samsonn Rafaelson, Joan Harrison, and Alma Reville.

A newspaper photographer for the society page (Donald Stuart) attempts to capture a shot of playboy Johnnie Aysgarth (Cary Grant) at a high society horse riding event but Johnnie is clearly distracted when he sees Lina (Joan Fontaine) arriving on horseback, This is their second encounter after their first coincidental meeting in a train compartment. The poor frustrated photographer never gets his shot but this is our first indication that Johnnie is very taken with Lina and we’re inclined to feel a bit suspicious of his reactions. From there the plot is off and running.
