Printed pink-lavender wrappers. first edition, limited to 500 copies (of which apparently 50 were distributed).

A scarce title and the only book produced during Woodman's lifetime.

As a student at the Rhode Island School of Design, Woodman (1958-1981) spent a year abroad, from 1977-78, in Rome, where she modeled this project on an antiquarian geometry exercise book. Conversant in Italian, she had also spent summers in Italy with her family.

The poetic self-portraits appear with abstruse mathematical formulae and printed handwritten notations. Due to the tragic circumstances of Woodman's death, a small number of copies were made available to friends and family at her funeral, while the remaining copies were returned to her family.
