Lékégian Two female water carriers 1890s Gelatin silver print 41 x 33 cm Bassenge Photography Auctions 19th – 21st Century Photography, 7 December 2022, Lot: 4043 LL/123949 Lékégian opened his photographic studio rather late, circa 1887, and it continued well into the 20th century. Lékégian & Co was one of the last surviving major 19th century photographic studios in Egypt and when the larger touristic views of the 19th century became popular the studio also started developing tourists' own photographs.
