| James Elliott [Attributed to] Still life of shells, coral and flowers in a lustrous vase 1850s (late) Stereoview Private collection of Paula Fleming LL/83504 No reference has yet been found suggesting that Richard Harmer either charged for, or prosecuted photographers for using his British patent technique (1856, No. 2832, "Stereoscopic Pictures"). Given that other photographic lawsuits on larger issues were not particularly successful in this era, perhaps it wasn’t worth his effort.
