This print was part of Ansel Adams' first solo exhibition at the Delphic Studio in 1933 in New York. The record list sent by Ansel Adams to the gallery is listing a print numbered with the same number 18 and titled as on the reverse of the mount.
 
The letters between Alma Reed, Director of the Delphic Studio and Ansel Adams highlight that every prints was mounted and titled by Ansel Adams. This specific print was one of the first ones sold at the exhibition.
