Photograph of one of the gateways that punctuate the medieval city walls of Ávila, Spain. The Puerta de Alcazar comprises two round towers connected by an arch. A large building stands on the left of the foreground. On the right are a row of domestic buildings with arcades supported on pillars. The fronts of these buildings are built of bricks arranged in a stretcher bond. In the foreground, a wheelbarrow stands in the middle of the cobbled street.
