Yagear (?, American)
School pupils and teacher, and possibly an assistant teacher, Jamestown, NY
1908

This one is a unique pose, showing the students and teacher (and looks like an assistant teacher) arranged rather artistically. The year is 1908, the school is in Jamestown, NY, and the photographer's name appears to be Yagear. The sign over the school's door says DIST [illeg.] 1836. (The year the school was built, maybe.) There is a code at the bottom that says 5748 - BUSTI - NY, suggesting to me that this was a sizable operation, maybe with multiple photographers going from town to town and photographing school classes. I think most of these photographs were taken by either the local photographer in town, or itinerant photographers who followed a route from town to town every year.
