Illustrate on the front page of "The Leviathan Number" of the Illustrated Times, 16 January 1858.
(Rose Teanby, 31 January 2020, Facebook comment) Robert Howlett also took Robert Stephenson's portrait, held by the V&A now. This image was used for the front cover of the Illustrated Times special edition commemorating the SS Great Eastern, and it also appeared in Brunel's office as a reminder of his friend.
