Handwriting at right appears to read: "Coming about Oct 9th xmas goods." 'Addressed on back: "R.H. Dyer. Newport, Me." There is a green one cent Ben Franklin stamp affixed to the back. The postmark reads "OCT 8" but the year is not visible.
