In the monthly "News of the Association of the Austrian Amateur-Photographers' Society", (Oct.1935) the first piece of news is concerned with the show that commemorates Richard Trõger. It reads: à

"Trõger's former colleagues are now docents of courses for beginners and advanced groups. They show - without the competition - a series of pictures which prove their great mastery and fine artistic sensibilities. Franz Katolicky shows a. o. masterful portraits, which he took with a monocle lens, Franz Rontag excels with his 4-colour prints on paper as well as on slides. Only someone who has ever dealt with this process can estimate the masterful technical ability that is necessary to achieve such a product. There are - as is well known - only a few amateurs in Austria who are active in this field. The great success which these two leaders and docents of this department have is best demonstrated by the works of the rest of the exhibitors. à"

Matted/mounted and inscribed by the artist: "Original Dreifarben-Bromölumdruck signed Ro '33"
