It is mainly ascribed to Woodbury & Page recordings of sights on Java: landscapes, rivers, waterfalls, roads, fields and houses. One shot jumps out: the execution of the so-called Tamboenmoordenaars in Bekasi on August 24, 1870. Eight men were hanged in public after a revolt against Dutch colonial authorities.
