Photograph of Government House, Lahore. The front of the building has a row of columns which are two storeys high. Two soldiers stand outside. There is a garden with trees and a path in the foreground.
This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. Included in the volume are a number of photographs of notable sites in the cities visited by the Prince.
Presented to Alexandra, Princess of Wales by her husband the Prince of Wales at Christmas 1876
