(Beverly Wilgus, 4 May 2022) This photograph in Druid Hill Park in Baltimore is our poster child for "serendipity", "the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way." This 26 1/2 X 19 inches wooden frame with an embossed leaf design was bought in a Maryland antique shop for the frame. It held a chromolithograph of two children that was so saccharine that it made your teeth ache! We intended to take the print out to use the frame for another photograph we had. When we opened it we found a mounted albumen photograph of the assembled members of the League of American Wheelmen at the Ninth Annual Meet in Baltimore's Druid Hill Park on June 19th 1888. It is now a treasure that hangs in our entry hall.
