The photograph was received from Brzozovski, artist Strauss and Okolov.
In district and province centers, lower-class Jews were occupied as load handlers, stone cutters, and diggers, and generally did hard manual work.
The photograph was displayed at the Russian Ethnographic Exhibition of 1867 in Moscow.
