Copy of individual daguerreotypes taken shortly after the couple married in 1855. Handwritten on the back is "Andrew Strong, born July 11th 1829 - passed Mar. 9th 1898. / Sarah Osgood born Sep. 26th 1835 - passed Mar. 2nd 1917. / Married Feb. 1st 1855. / This photo is a copy made from a daguerreotype taken soon after marriage in 1855." The copy is dated December 24th, 1924.
 
Research indicates that Sarah was born in Caledonia, New York and died in Akron, Indiana. Andrew was born in Windsor, York County, Pennsylvania and died in Akron, Indiana. The two were married in Akron, but the location that these were made is unknown. He is listed as a blacksmith in Akron in the 1860 Fulton County, Indiana census and his obituary states that he continued this trade until 1876 when he opened a store, continued by his sons as Strong's Store until 1937.
