Number 14 is written into the negative. This was the place that French knights from the Crusades resisted the advance of Saladin's forces. The ruin dates from the 12th century. The negative was made in October 1859. See: Mayer, Louis De Clercq: Voyage en Orient, Album 2, pl.13.
