Photograph of a group portrait of three indigenous Canadians, standing and facing the viewer. In the middle of the group stands a tall man with long, white coloured hair. He is flanked by two smaller individuals, both of whom wear conical shaped hats. On the floor, by their feet are two baskets containing produce, possibly intended for sale.

Victoria Harbour, where this photograph was taken, has traditionally served as a major centre for the fishing and shipbuilding industries and is the main point of access to Vancouver Island.
