Ms. Ging was murdered by Hans Blixt and Harry Hayward on December 3rd, 1894 near Lake Calhoun In Minneapolis. The assailants murdered Ms. Ging for an insurance scam taken out on Ging for $10,000.
The case is included in the book by C. Sifakis Strange crimes and criminals (New York: Checkmark Books, 2001)
