Paul Famin and Company were active at 8, rue Bab-Azoun, Algiers between 1865 and 1895, having taken over the premises of Richan and Clavier. He re-published some of the photographs of the Photographie Saharienne studio. The studio received a gold medal from the SFP in 1889, following a report executed for the Comité des Fêtes d’Alger. Paul’s son, André Adrien, took part in the Galliéni mission to the Sudan in 1888.
