Frontal view of the temple of Armant with some of the remaining columns around its courtyard, the small hypostyle hall and the entrance to the sanctuary. The temple, built between the XI Dynasty and the Roman period (c.2040 BC-AD 200), was dedicated to the war-god Montu and largely destroyed during the late nineteenth century.
