Marion Perceval has graciously completed a translation of the Janese text on the back (7 October 2015):
"This is the 3d store anniversary. This photograph was taken during the 5th year of Taishô (in 1916), the 29th of March. Mister Sieun Tsuchiya, 35 years old; Moyo (his wife), 26 years old; Seeichi, 7 years old; Shôji, 4 years old."
