David Avison (1937, 13 March - 2004, 7 March) was born - US, VA, Harrisonburg. American photographer. 
  
Hans Bellmer (1902, 13 March - 1975, 23 February) was born - Germany, Silesia, Katowice (Katowize). Studied engineering at the Technische Hochaschule in Berlin and met Georg Grosz at the drawing classes. He worked at Malik Verlag as a graphic designer and this was the influential publishing house set up by the brother of John Heartfield. He is More... 
  
Jane Brown (1925, 13 March - 2014, 21 December) was born. Worked as a photographer for newspapers in the UK for over 50 years mainly for The Observer. In 1995 she was awarded a CBE for her outstanding contribution to photography. Her entire collection has been donated to Newsroom, The Observer and More...

Tony Ray-Jones (1941, 7 June - 1972, 13 March) died - UK, London. Ray-Jones had a brief, but memorable, career in photography, working as a freelance photographer in New York, San Francisco and London before dying of leukemia at the age of 31.
