Georges Hugnet (1906, 11 July - 1974, 26 June) was born - France, Paris. French graphic artist, poet, author and art historian. He was also an active participant in Dada and Surrealism. 
  
Chris Killip (1946, 11 July - 2020, October) was born - Great Britain, Isle of Man. Bleak shots of the North-East of England particularly his study ‘Seacoal‘.

Domenico Riccardo Peretti Griva (1882, 28 November - 1962, 11 July) died - Italy, Turin. Italian master of the bromoil transfer process and one of the key people in the Gruppo Piemontese per la Fotografia Artistica. 
  
Hugo Henneberg (1863, 27 July - 1918, 11 July) died - Austria, Vienna. Austrian photographer who was a member of the ‘Das Kleebatt‘ group in Vienna in the mid-1890s and the ‘Linked Ring Brotherhood‘. 
  
Paul Nash (1889, 11 May - 1946, 11 July) died. Landscape artist who from the late 1920s onwards used photographs as the basis for his designs. 
  
Frederick H. Pratt (1873, 19 July - 1958, 11 July) died - US, MA, Wellesley Hills.
