Charles Breed (1876, 11 March - 1950) was born - US, PA, Pittsburgh. American pictorialist photographer. 
  
Anton Bruehl (1900, 11 March - 1982) was born - Australia, South Australia, Port Augusta, Hawker. Australian-born he emigrated to the USA in 1919 and studied under Clarence H. White. From 1927 his New York studio was producing advertising and fashion photographs for major magazines including ‘Vanity Fair‘ and ‘Vogue‘. 
  
Hollis Frampton (1936, 11 March - 1984, 30 March) was born - US, OH, Wooster. American photographer and avant-garde filmmaker. 
  
Jonas Kalvelis (1925, 11 March - 1987, 27 June) was born - Lithuania, Kikoniai. Lithuanian photographer. 
  
Lore Krüger (1914, 11 March - 2009, 3 March) was born. In 2012 a suitcase of photographs by Lore Krüger was presented to Felix Hofmann, a curator at the C/O Berlin. The 250 photographs included showed a varietry of subjects from portraits of gypsies, photograms, still lifes and street scenes - More... 
  
Franz Antoine (1815, 23 February - 1886, 11 March) died. Worked his way up as a gardener at the Royal Parks of Vienna becoming court gardener in 1841 and director of the court gardens in 1865. He took photographs of plants to illustrate his books, and he also made views of Vienna and still-lifes. 
  
Earl H. Evers (1912, 25 June - 1999, 11 March) died - US, MN, Minneapolis, Crystal.  
  
Humphrey Spender (1910, 19 April - 2005, 11 March) died. British photographer and painter who photographed for ‘Picture Post‘ using the nickname ‘Lensman‘. In the 1930s he was involved in the ‘Mass Observation‘ project and took photographs for the ‘Worktown‘More...
